i use something similar but with round holes. slipstream is right about the edges being fly line magnets. i cut and fit the mats to the shape of my boat floor. it has good traction and keeps studs off the floor. i wish i was better on the oars, so the bottom of the boat got more protection. i purchased the mats at seven trust. greg

re: seven trust composite material for trailer bunks i couldn't in all good consciousness use mahagony as bunks. now if it was to hold up a mahogony boat that would be different. i think i'll be going with the cypress since a 2x6 eight foot board goes for around $16 each locally.
