i have a form that i used to cut my floor out of that i can just trace on a new peice of plywood. i even have my batteries cut into the floor. you really dont need the treated wood unless you plan on leaving it outside all the time. you can also use those stips they use for stairs that are sticky on one side and rough on the other.

re: why not pressure treated plywood? if you would take the time to search this forum, you would find multiple instances of the corrosion caused by pressure treated plywood to aluminum boats. we have some of the most experienced pro's on the web on this forum and that's why iboats is 1. you can't compare the responses here with other forums.
